BREATH Success: UWS PhD student Bryn Short successfully defends thesis at viva

Bryn Short undertook his viva voce examination on the 31st May, defending a doctoral thesis entitled: Defining and modelling the microbiome in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

His examiners included external, Dr Nihal Bandara from the University of Bristol and Prof Katherine Sloman (UWS).

Congratulations Dr Short – and well done to the supervisory team, including Dr Gordy Mackay, Professor Gordon Ramage (University of Glasgow) and Dr Gary Litherland
